Effect of Thiourea on Lead Release from Lead-Bearing Jarosite under Freeze–Thaw Cycling

چکیده
Lead is a toxic factor in jarosite residue, and it important to study its release behavior from simulated lead residue (LSJ) predict the stability of impact on environment. This investigated ion behavior, leaching toxicity, stability, migration LSJ during freeze–thaw cycling with thiourea (T-FTC). The lead, iron, sulfate radicals via T-FTC was influenced by several factors. Under specific conditions, amount released 6.09 mM/L, which accounted for 38.3% total lead. After treatment, residual increased, toxicity long-term stable equilibrium concentration were reduced 42.1 mg/L 12.4 mg/L, respectively, decreased 82% 84%, respectively led improved environmental stability. provides novel approach safe disposal under low-temperature mild results can be used secondary pollution

Effect of Phosphate Inhibitors on Lead Release From Pipes
Hexametaphosphate tends to increase release of both particulate and soluble lead to drinking water. For every mg/L of residual hexametaphosphate, soluble lead increased by 1.6 – 2.5 mg/L after 72 hour stagnation in pure lead pipes compared to the same condition dosed with orthophosphate. Utilities should consider these adverse effects whenever polyphosphate is used to prevent scaling or iron pr...

Chapter 12 Nutrient Cycling Coordinating Lead
An adequate and balanced supply of elements necessary for life, provided through the ecological processes of nutrient cycling, underpins all other ecosystem services. The cycles of several key elements—phosphorus, nitrogen, sulfur, carbon, and possibly iron and silicon—have been substantially altered by human activities over the past two centuries, with important positive and negative consequen...
متن کاملUse of endogenous, stable lead isotopes to determine release of lead from the skeleton.
The stable lead isotope methodology can be used to study the release of lead from bone into the circulation because of its potential to distinguish circulatory lead from "older" and isotopically different skeletal lead that may have been accumulated years or decades earlier. Here we report the initial results from a larger ongoing study that evaluates the skeleton as a source of lead to the cir...
